Cooley Comics is about more than comics, it’s about utilizing visual storytelling workshops and radical education experiences to help under-estimated people build confidence, unlock creativity, and step into high-paying, purpose-driven career paths.

Between May 2024 and July 2025 over 150 youth have produced 125 original comic books in our programs. We created 15 new jobs through workshops that blend personal development, visual storytelling, and (radical) digital education. These numbers are more than metrics—they’re proof that our mission is real, working, and changing lives.

We offer custom, creative sessions where your team members and people you serve can uncover deeper, individual and group connections. Participants create original comic characters, share personal stories, and develop team universes, together. These are creative, eye-opening experiences that transform team dynamics and bring out unifying values in an unforgettable way.

Training Programs.
Pixels 2 Purpose is our youth training program where students gain hands-on experience in digital arts, earn a certificate, and connect with industry professionals and career pathways. Justin, who once said he “wasn’t creative,” is now a graphic designer making comics and animations for our workshops. He is proof that with the right conditions, love, and support, hidden talent will thrive!

Youth Workshops.
We’re currently raising funds to offer 180 scholarship seats for AI Comic Labs for the 2025-2026 school year (Rochester, NY). We encourage teachers, librarians, and community leaders to apply now. Our preference is to reserve scholarships for those hit hardest by arts budget cuts. We’re also expanding to new districts across New York and the U.S.—contact us to bring AI Comic Labs to your city.
